Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market seem to have taken a breather, as major crypto-tokens are trading virtually unchanged. Meanwhile, investors are looking for signs that Bitcoin's downward spiral has reached its endpoint and that the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is ready to enter a new bull cycle.
With the exception of Cardano and the USDC steylock, all eight of the other top 10 digital tokens were trading lower on the morning of January 17. Meanwhile, Cardano rose more than 12% to become the fifth-largest token by market capitalization.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalization was virtually unchanged at $2.07 trillion compared to the previous day. However, the total volume of the crypto market increased by 5% to $64.30 billion.
